Garba “Mister G” Onadja
For over 20 years, Garba “Mister G” Onadja has dedicated his professional and personal life to helping and motivating people of all fitness levels and backgrounds to become more physically fit.
From an early age in West Africa, Garba or “Mister G” as his students call him, has learned the benefits of a healthy, fit lifestyle.
This was the start of a life-long pursuit of fitness and wellness with unfaltering passion.
“I started training individuals and sport teams in my early 20s in Niamey, the capital of Niger (West Africa) while still competing in sport of taekwondo, basketball, track & field, soccer, and handball.
During my competitive years, I became a 3-time high school National Basketball Champion, was admitted in the Nigerien National Taekwondo Team and earned my 2nd Degree Black Belt from the World Taekwondo Headquarter (Kukiwon) in Seoul, South Korea.
I also hold a Doctorate in Martial Arts Philosophy and Martial Arts Science as well as a Business Degree from the Kaplan University.
Following my career as a professional athlete, I dedicated myself full time to fitness training and athletic coaching. I worked with clients and organizations from West Africa to France and finally Los Angeles, California — where I became known as ‘Mister G.”
As a body conditioning and self-defense instructor, Mister G’s clientele has included officers of The French Gendarmerie National and the U.S. Marine Corps Security Guard Detachment as well as several foreign diplomats in Niger.
In 2004, He received the 1Oth Degree Master Black Belt and was inducted to the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
His celebrity clients have included Julianne Nicholson, Katherine Heigl, Nikki Sixx, Nia Peeples, Ernie Hudson, Tia and Tamera. And, I am proud to have been voted “Most Motivational Instructor” by the L.A. Daily News Readers.
Mister G has been an Independent Fitness Consultant for the City of Calabasas since September 2012 and runs his Personal Training services in Calabasas with several certified trainers under his supervision.
